FLG Political Season Begins, 1st Council Candidate Announces for 18′

Paul Deasy is the first candidate to announce his intentions to run for the Flagstaff City Council in 2018.  Deasy was heavily involved in Flagstaff’s Proposition 414, Flagstaff’s $15 minimum wage spearheaded by Councilwoman Eva Putzova. He also heavily opposed Elevate Flagstaff’s push to significantly amend the law.  The Jeff Oravits Show had an interview scheduled with Mr. Deasy several months back that Mr. Deasy canceled and multiple requests to have Mr. Deasy on the show have not received a reply.

Tune in to the Jeff Oravits Show today at 3PM on 97.1 the Big Talker for more info on this as well as an interview with Mark Holden, the student at the center of NAU’s most recent national controversy.  Plus, we’ll have a discussion with Orville Wiseman, the Flagstaff Airport’s only Fixed Based Operator and challenges he’s facing with the FAA and the City of Flagstaff.

And join Jeff and Chaz tomorrow at 3PM for an update from Senator Sylvia Allen.

The Jeff Oravits Show is live Monday-Friday on 97.1FM and available online.
