SCA Flagstaff Plant Closing

According to several employees of SCA in Flagstaff, the Flagstaff plant on Butler Ave. is planning on closing at the end of June.  This will effect around 70 employees.  Word is that the Belmont Plant will remain open for now.  Our call to SCA Flagstaff for comment has not been returned.

  1. SCA Flagstaff closing end of June with 70 employees being layed-off. Would not be surprised if it had to do with the Flagstaff City Council hike in minimum wages. Property taxes being hiked, what next does this great Flagstaff City Council have in mind. Come election wonder who is going to be replaced.

  2. Jeff, SCA forced the City to buy trash trucks to transport paper debris for landfill cover… they refused to renew the private contractors…..what happens now?
