According to a report by the Arizona Republic Yavapai County would receive about $40 million towards projects like Old Rt. 66 improvements, Main Street paving in Cottonwood and Glassford Hill Road improvements in Prescott Valley. Coconino County would receive about $20 million for 89 flood mitigation and Lone Tree Corridor improvements.

Vote to pull US troops out of Syria fails in Congress. Late Wednesday the house voted on a resolution introduced by Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida to pull the estimated 900 US troops out of Syria. The resolution failed although it received bipartisan support with 56 Democrats and 47 Republicans voting in favor. Out of Arizona’s 9 representatives, four Republicans voted in favor, Biggs, Crane, Gosar, and Schweikert. Republicans Lesko and Ciscomani joined with Democrats Gallego, Grijalva and Stanton in voting against the measure.
“No Labels” party will appear on the 2024 ballot in Arizona. Secretary of State Fontes Tweeted out today that a new party will appear on the ballot in Arizona for state and federal races in the upcoming 2024 presidential election cycle. The No Labels party touts itself as an independent centrist party.
