Fire restrictions start in NAZ


Kaibab National Forest

Forest Order 03-07-22-03 and MAP
Effective 5/5:
NO fires, campfires, charcoal, coal, or wood stoves, except within developed rec site.
NO smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle, building or developed rec site.
Devices solely fueled by pressurized liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off are allowed in areas clear of all flammable materials within 3ft.

Coconino National Forest

The Coconino National Forest will implement stage 1 fire restrictions starting May 5th as well. Info and link here.

City of Flagstaff

The City of Flagstaff will also implement stage one fire restrictions on May 5th. Mayor Paul Deasy will be on the show later this week to talk about this.

Prescott National Forest

The Prescott National Forest will implement stage 1 fire restrictions starting May 5th as well. Info and link here.

Prescott Area Restrictions

Prescott areas including Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt will also implement stage 1 fire restrictions May 5. Cooking and warming fires will still be allowed at residential properties but no burn pile, fireworks etc.
